Hi there, I’m Luna.
A California girl living in San Francisco with my partner Maya and our rescue dog, Sage. We share a cozy apartment with a tiny kitchen that somehow manages to produce the most incredible meals.
I’m a self-taught home cook, passionate recipe developer and the creator of Luna Meals. I love exploring farmers markets, experimenting with seasonal ingredients and hosting dinner parties that run way too late into the night.
my story
I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Environmental Science and spent my early twenties working for a nonprofit focused on sustainable agriculture. My work took me to small farms across Northern California, where I fell in love with the connection between good soil, fresh ingredients and unforgettable meals.
After long days in the field, I’d come home and recreate the flavors I’d experienced – the heirloom tomatoes that tasted like sunshine, the herbs that perfumed entire gardens, the stone fruits so perfect they belonged in paintings.
Three years into my career, I started taking weekend cooking classes at a local culinary school. I was fascinated by technique, but what really captured my heart was the way food could tell stories and bring people together.
Inspired by the vibrant food scene around me and armed with way too many photos of my dinner experiments, I launched Luna Meals in 2019. What started as a way to document my weekend cooking adventures quickly became my obsession.
I found myself testing recipes at 6 AM before work, photographing dishes during my lunch break, and writing posts late into the evening. Food had become my language, and I couldn’t stop speaking it.
After four years of nights and weekends, and with Maya’s endless encouragement, I took the leap and made Luna Meals my full-time focus in January 2023.
A little more about Luna Meals
Luna Meals started in my tiny kitchen, but it’s grown into a trusted resource for home cooks who believe that great food doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s a place where we celebrate the magic that happens when simple, quality ingredients meet a little creativity and a lot of love.
Every recipe is crafted to be approachable, reliable, and bursting with flavor – because life’s too short for bland food or intimidating instructions.
