Ingredients
150g dark chocolate
60g unsalted butter
100g granulated sugar
50g brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
60g all-purpose flour
25g cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
100g chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
1. Melt dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave. Stir until smooth and set aside to cool slightly.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until light and creamy. Stir in vanilla extract.
3. Pour the melted chocolate into the egg mixture and stir until well combined.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Add to the wet ingredients and mix just until incorporated.
5. Fold in chocolate chips or chunks.
6. Chill the dough for 20 to 30 minutes until slightly firm.
7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
8. Scoop dough onto the sheet, spacing well.
9. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until tops are shiny and cracked.
10. Cool on tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
