Description

Easy Lasagna Cups are a fun and simple twist on classic lasagna, baked in muffin tins using crispy wonton wrappers, savory beef sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella. These mini lasagnas are perfect for weeknight dinners, parties, or meal prepping. Try this delicious lasagna cup recipe with beef, cheese, and tomato sauce for a bite-sized Italian-inspired meal.

Ingredients

12 oz ground beef

1 tbsp olive oil

1 small yellow onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup crushed tomatoes

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 cup ricotta cheese

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

24 wonton wrappers

Fresh basil, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and ground beef. Cook until browned.

2. Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until translucent.

3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

4. In a small bowl, mix ricotta cheese with parmesan, and season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

5. Preheat oven to 375°F and spray a 12-cup muffin tin with non-stick spray.

6. Press one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup.

7. Spoon in a layer of meat sauce, then a dollop of the ricotta mixture, then a sprinkle of mozzarella.

8. Add another wonton wrapper on top of the first layer.

9. Repeat the layers: meat sauce, ricotta, and mozzarella.

10. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.

11. Let cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes.

12. Garnish with chopped basil before serving if desired.

Notes

These freeze beautifully—just reheat in an oven or air fryer.

You can swap in ground turkey for a lighter option.

Add spinach or shredded zucchini to the ricotta for an extra veggie boost.
