Description

This Chocolate Peppermint Mousse is a light, airy, no-bake dessert perfect for holidays and dinner parties. Rich dark chocolate meets refreshing peppermint in this elegant, easy-to-make treat. Ideal for festive gatherings, gluten-free diets, and make-ahead desserts.


Ingredients

120 g dark chocolate

240 ml heavy cream

1 tsp peppermint extract

2 tbsp sugar

2 large egg whites

1/4 tsp cream of tartar


Instructions

1. Melt the chocolate gently over a double boiler and set aside to cool slightly.

2. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, add peppermint extract, and whip to stiff peaks. Chill.

3. In a clean bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar until foamy. Gradually add sugar and beat to stiff, glossy peaks.

4. Fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream in batches to maintain volume.

5. Gently fold in the meringue until fully incorporated.

6. Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls and chill for at least 2 hours.

7. Serve with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candy if desired.

Use high-quality dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
