A quick and healthy dinner idea, these Asian-style ground beef lettuce wraps are packed with bold flavors from soy sauce, hoisin, garlic, and ginger. Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated

3 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp hoisin sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp sesame oil

3 green onions, sliced

1 carrot, shredded

1 can water chestnuts, chopped

1 head butter lettuce

2 tbsp crushed peanuts

1 tbsp chili garlic sauce (optional)


Instructions

1. In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.

2. Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.

3. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar. Let the mixture simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.

4. Add shredded carrot, chopped water chestnuts, and green onions. Stir and cook for another 2 minutes.

5. Spoon the beef mixture into butter lettuce leaves.

6. Top with crushed peanuts and optional chili garlic sauce. Serve immediately.

Notes

Serve the beef mixture hot for the best flavor.

Store leftover beef separately from lettuce for up to 4 days.
