Ingredients
1 pound penne pasta
16 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook penne pasta until al dente, then drain and reserve 1 cup of the pasta water.
2. In the same pot over medium heat, melt butter. Add milk and cubed Velveeta cheese. Stir until fully melted and smooth.
3. Season the cheese sauce with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Adjust to taste.
4. Add cooked penne back into the sauce. Stir to coat. Add reserved pasta water if needed to thin the sauce.
5. Serve immediately while warm and creamy.
Notes
Use freshly boiled pasta to ensure the sauce clings properly.
You can add cooked chicken, spinach, or bacon for variation.
Reheat with a splash of milk to restore creaminess.
