Ingredients
250g sirloin steak tips
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 small yellow onion, sliced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
250g fettuccine or penne pasta
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
1 cup fresh spinach (optional)
Instructions
1. Cut steak tips into bite-sized pieces and coat with Cajun seasoning. Set aside to marinate briefly.
2. In a hot skillet with olive oil, sear steak pieces until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Lower heat and add butter to the skillet. Sauté garlic, red bell pepper, and onion until softened and fragrant.
4. Pour in heavy cream, stir in Parmesan, and simmer until thickened. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and optional paprika.
5. Meanwhile, cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve a small amount of pasta water before draining.
6. Add cooked pasta to the sauce. Toss to coat. Add steak back in and stir gently to combine.
7. Add spinach if using, and cook until just wilted. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
Add a splash of reserved pasta water if the sauce gets too thick.
Use ribeye for an even more luxurious flavor.
Reheat leftovers gently with added cream or milk to restore texture.
