Perfect for seafood lovers, this shrimp bowl is high in protein, easy to make, and endlessly customizable. Ideal for garlic shrimp rice bowl fans seeking a gourmet meal at home.

Ingredients

12 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp lemon juice

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

2 cups cooked jasmine or basmati rice

1 tbsp mixed herbs (thyme, dill, or basil)

1 tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Cook rice according to package directions. Stir in chopped herbs and season with salt and pepper. Keep warm.

2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

3. Lower heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic. Stir for 1 minute until fragrant. Add lemon juice and mix.

4. Return shrimp to skillet and coat in garlic butter sauce.

5. Serve shrimp over the herb rice and drizzle remaining sauce over the top. Garnish with parsley and extra lemon if desired.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.

Make sure shrimp are dry before searing to avoid steaming.

For meal prep, keep rice and shrimp stored separately and combine when reheating.
