Ingredients
200g ground beef
200g ground pork
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 large egg
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
2 green onions, finely chopped
1/3 cup Korean BBQ sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sriracha or gochujang
1 teaspoon lime juice
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, panko, egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and green onions. Mix until just combined.
3. Form 1.5-tablespoon sized meatballs and place on the baking sheet.
4. Bake meatballs for 16–18 minutes until golden and cooked through.
5. Brush cooked meatballs with Korean BBQ sauce and return to oven for 3–5 minutes.
6. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha or gochujang, and lime juice for the dip.
7. Serve meatballs warm with spicy mayo on the side or drizzled on top. Garnish with sesame seeds or extra green onions.
Notes
Use a combo of pork and beef for best flavor and juiciness.
Don’t overmix the meat to keep the texture tender.
