Description

Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread is a rich, chewy Southern dessert packed with chopped pecans and caramelized brown sugar flavor. Perfect for potlucks, holidays, or a cozy homemade treat, this easy quick bread recipe delivers comforting sweetness with a nutty crunch in every bite.

Ingredients

2 cups brown sugar

1 cup granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 cup vegetable oil

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla until smooth.

3. Stir in flour and salt until just combined—do not overmix.

4. Fold in the chopped pecans evenly.

5. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.

6. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

7. Cool in the pan before slicing into squares or bars.

Notes

Use fresh pecans for best flavor.

Don’t overbake—this bread is best when slightly soft in the center.

Store in an airtight container or freeze individually wrapped slices.
