Description

Sticky Beef Noodles is a fast, savory stir-fry recipe loaded with tender caramelized beef, hoisin sauce, rice noodles, and colorful vegetables. It’s the perfect homemade takeout-style dinner that’s ready in under 30 minutes. This Asian-inspired beef noodle recipe is ideal for busy weeknights and can easily be adapted with your favorite veggies or gluten-free noodles.

Ingredients

300g beef flank steak, thinly sliced

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon sesame oil

250g rice noodles or egg noodles

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

2 green onions, chopped

1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

1. Toss the beef with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Let it marinate while prepping other ingredients.

2. Cook noodles according to the package directions. Drain and toss with a little sesame oil to prevent sticking.

3. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Sear the beef in batches until browned and caramelized. Remove and set aside.

4. In the same pan, stir-fry the bell peppers for 2 to 3 minutes until just tender.

5. Add the beef back to the pan with the noodles and green onions. Toss everything to combine. Add a splash of water if needed to loosen the sauce.

6. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and extra green onions if desired.

Notes

Use thinly sliced beef so it cooks quickly and absorbs flavor.

Rice noodles are great for a gluten-free option.

To reheat, add a splash of water and stir-fry until hot.
