Ingredients
1.5 lbs chicken thighs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
4 cups cooked white rice
2 tablespoons chopped parsley or green onions
Instructions
1. Season chicken thighs with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
2. Dredge chicken in seasoned flour, shaking off excess.
3. Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
4. Brown chicken on both sides until golden; remove and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, sauté diced onion and garlic until soft.
6. Add 2 tablespoons of flour to create a roux and cook for 1 minute.
7. Slowly whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream until smooth.
8. Return chicken to skillet, cover, and simmer on low for 15–20 minutes.
9. Meanwhile, cook rice or reheat if using leftovers.
10. Assemble bowls with rice on the bottom, smothered chicken on top.
11. Spoon extra gravy over the top and garnish with parsley or green onions.

Notes
This dish can be made with chicken breasts, but thighs provide more moisture and flavor.
