Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, salt, and melted butter until crumbly. Press into the prepared pan.
3. Bake the crust for 18–20 minutes until lightly golden.
4. While the crust bakes, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
5. Stir in the chopped pecans.
6. Pour the filling over the hot crust immediately after baking.
7. Return to the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes or until set in the center.
8. Let bars cool completely before slicing. Chill for faster cooling if needed.
