Ingredients
1 lb breakfast sausage
3 cups frozen hash browns, thawed
8 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp butter (for greasing)
Instructions
1. Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain and set aside.
2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter. Spread the thawed hash browns evenly on the bottom and press slightly.
3. Sprinkle the cooked sausage over the hash browns, followed by shredded cheese.
4. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth. Pour the mixture evenly over the dish.
5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40–45 minutes, or until set in the center and golden on top.
6. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
