Description

This Red Lobster’s Cheese Biscuit Loaf recipe turns the famous cheddar bay biscuits into a warm, savory loaf perfect for any meal. With sharp cheddar, garlic, and herbs baked into every slice, this cheesy biscuit bread is ideal for sides, snacking, or sharing. Easy to prepare, freeze, and reheat, it’s a comfort food favorite you’ll keep making. Great for family dinners, potlucks, or cozy weekends.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup buttermilk

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a standard loaf pan or line with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and dried parsley.

3. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk the buttermilk, melted butter, and egg.

5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

6. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

7. Bake for 45–55 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

9. Slice and serve warm or let cool completely for neater slices.

10. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to 4 days.

Notes

This loaf is best enjoyed warm to highlight its gooey cheese center.

Do not overmix the dough to keep the texture light and fluffy.

To freeze, slice the cooled loaf and wrap slices individually.
