Description

This Quick & Easy Korean Ground Beef Bowl is a fast and flavorful dinner idea made with ground beef, soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil. A perfect weeknight meal that’s budget-friendly, customizable, and full of Korean BBQ-style flavor. Great for meal prep, low-carb swaps, or rice bowls.


Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

4 cups cooked rice

2 green onions, chopped

1 tablespoon sesame seeds


Instructions

1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

2. Stir in the garlic and ginger and cook for another 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

3. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

4. Spoon the beef mixture over warm cooked rice.

5. Top with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

6. Customize with your favorite toppings like fried egg, cucumber slices, or steamed broccoli.

Notes

This dish can easily be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Try using cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.

Adjust red pepper flakes or omit for a milder flavor profile.
