Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
3. In a bowl, mix pumpkin puree, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract.
4. Spread the filling over half of the pastry and fold the other half over.
5. Gently press to seal and flatten slightly with a rolling pin.
6. Slice into 1-inch strips and twist each one.
7. Place on the baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden and puffed.
9. Let cool on a wire rack and enjoy warm or at room temperature.
