Description

This Pineapple Cheese Ball recipe blends sweet and savory in one irresistibly creamy appetizer. Made with cream cheese, crushed pineapple, cheddar, and rolled in crunchy pecans, it’s the perfect make-ahead dish for holidays, parties, or any casual gathering. If you’re looking for a tropical cheese ball recipe with a twist, this one delivers both flavor and nostalgia.

Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 cup crushed pineapple, well-drained

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup chopped red or green bell pepper

2 tablespoons chopped green onions

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup chopped pecans for coating

Instructions

1. Drain the crushed pineapple thoroughly using a mesh strainer. Press with paper towels to remove excess liquid.

2. In a large bowl, mix softened cream cheese, drained pineapple, shredded cheddar, chopped bell pepper, green onions, salt, and pepper until fully combined.

3. Transfer the mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap and shape into a ball. Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

4. Once chilled and firm, roll the cheese ball in chopped pecans, pressing gently to ensure full coverage.

5. Serve on a plate with crackers, veggie sticks, or baguette slices.

Notes

This cheese ball can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge.

You can toast the pecans before rolling for added depth of flavor.

Add a dash of garlic powder or finely minced jalapeño for extra kick.
