Ingredients
2 cups frozen French fries
8 ounces ribeye steak, thinly sliced
1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow onion, sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Cook the French fries according to the package directions until golden and crispy.
2. While fries are cooking, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
3. Season ribeye steak slices with salt and pepper, then sear for 1–2 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if needed. Sauté green pepper and onion until soft and slightly caramelized.
5. Arrange cooked fries on an oven-safe dish or baking sheet. Top evenly with steak and sautéed vegetables.
6. Sprinkle provolone and cheddar cheese over the top.
7. Broil for 2–4 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
8. Serve immediately with optional toppings like scallions, garlic aioli, or hot sauce.
Notes
Use ribeye for juicy, tender steak with the best flavor.
Shred your own cheese for better melt and texture.
Broil briefly to avoid burning the fries or drying out the steak.
