Description

PF Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps are an easy, flavorful, and healthy copycat recipe perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining. Made with ground chicken, garlic, hoisin, soy sauce, and served in crisp butter lettuce, these Asian-inspired wraps are low-carb, gluten-free friendly, and ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

3 cloves garlic, minced

4 green onions, chopped (white and green parts separated)

1 can (8 oz) water chestnuts, drained and diced

3 tablespoons soy sauce (or gluten-free alternative)

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon grated ginger

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 head butter lettuce, leaves separated and washed

Instructions

1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

2. Stir in minced garlic, grated ginger, and the white parts of the green onions. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

3. Add diced water chestnuts and stir to combine.

4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.

5. Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir well, letting everything simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce slightly reduces.

6. Remove from heat and spoon the filling into butter lettuce leaves.

7. Top with the green parts of the onions and serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure to use fresh butter lettuce for the best texture.

You can prep the filling ahead and reheat just before serving.

Add mushrooms or shredded carrots for extra texture and nutrition.
