3 to 4 ripe but firm pears
1/3 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup pecans, toasted
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

2. Stir in maple syrup and brown sugar until bubbly and smooth.
3. Let the mixture cook for 2 to 3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
4. Scatter the toasted pecans evenly into the skillet.
5. Slice pears and arrange them in a circular pattern over the pecans.
6. Lightly roll out the puff pastry to fit the skillet, then place it over the pears.
7. Tuck in the edges of the pastry and cut a few small slits on top.
8. Bake at 375°F for 30 to 35 minutes until golden and puffed.
9. Let rest for 5 minutes, then carefully invert the tart onto a plate.
10. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
Notes
This dessert is best served warm for ultimate gooey caramel texture.
You can swap pecans for walnuts if preferred.
Don’t skip the 5-minute rest before flipping—it helps the caramel settle.
