Description
This one-pan creamy sweet and spicy Cajun chicken pasta is the ultimate weeknight comfort dish packed with bold Cajun spice, velvety cream, and a touch of honey. Quick, easy, and flavorful, this pasta recipe is a perfect choice for spicy pasta lovers.
Ingredients
2 chicken breasts
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
2 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
8 ounces pasta (penne or fettuccine)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Set aside.
2. In the same skillet, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes for 1 minute, scraping up any brown bits.
3. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer, add pasta, and cook until tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
4. Stir in honey and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Slice cooked chicken and return to pan, tossing to coat.
5. Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Let pasta cool before storing to keep sauce texture smooth.
Add a splash of broth or cream when reheating leftovers.
Try shrimp or sausage instead of chicken for a variation.
