With no need to pre-cook noodles, this lasagna recipe is layered with rich marinara, creamy ricotta, gooey mozzarella, and tender pasta for a hearty, family-friendly meal. Ingredients
1 box no boil lasagna noodles
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 large egg
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 cups marinara sauce
1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage (optional)
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
Salt to taste
Instructions
1. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, a pinch of salt, and Italian seasoning.
2. If using meat, cook the ground beef or sausage in a skillet until browned, then mix it with 1 cup of marinara sauce.
3. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
4. Add a layer of no boil noodles.
5. Spread a portion of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
6. Sprinkle a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
7. Spoon over some sauce (with or without meat).
8. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and cheese on top.
9. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes.
10. Remove foil and bake an additional 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
11. Let rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Let the lasagna rest after baking so it sets and slices cleanly.
Use high-quality marinara sauce for the best flavor.
Add fresh basil or parsley for a bright finishing touch.
