Description

This No-Bake German Chocolate Pie is a rich, creamy dessert layered with chocolate ganache, fluffy chocolate cream, and a gooey coconut-pecan topping. It’s the perfect no-bake dessert for chocolate lovers, easy to make, and ideal for holidays, potlucks, or anytime you crave German chocolate cake in pie form.


Ingredients

1 store-bought or homemade chocolate cookie crust

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup heavy cream (divided)

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup evaporated milk

4 tablespoons butter

1 cup brown sugar


Instructions

1. Prepare the crust by pressing chocolate cookie crumbs mixed with melted butter into a pie plate. Chill to set.

2. Heat 1/2 cup heavy cream and pour over chocolate chips. Let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth. Pour into crust and chill until firm.

3. Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla. Fold in the remaining whipped heavy cream until fluffy. Spread over ganache layer.

4. In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, evaporated milk, coconut, and pecans. Cook over medium heat until thick and caramel-like. Let cool slightly.

5. Spoon coconut-pecan topping over chocolate layer and refrigerate for several hours until fully set.

6. Slice with a warm knife for clean edges and serve chilled.

Notes

Use full-fat cream cheese for the creamiest filling.

Let the ganache layer cool slightly before adding the next layer.

Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight for best texture.
