Description

Enjoy this refreshing iced brown sugar matcha latte, a creamy green tea drink with caramel sweetness and earthy notes. Perfect iced matcha latte recipe with brown sugar syrup and milk for a café-style treat at home.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon matcha powder 2 tablespoons brown sugar 2 tablespoons water 1 cup milk (oat, almond, or dairy) 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

1. In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar and water. Heat over medium and stir until sugar dissolves completely. Let cool. In a small bowl, sift matcha powder to remove clumps. Add a splash of warm water and whisk until smooth and frothy. Fill a glass with ice. Pour 2 tablespoons brown sugar syrup into the glass. Pour the whisked matcha over the syrup. Top with milk, letting the layers show. Stir gently before drinking.

Notes

Use culinary-grade matcha for the best flavor when mixed with milk. Brown sugar syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 week. For a stronger drink, use less milk and more matcha.
