Description

Cool, creamy, and coated in rich chocolate, these *Homemade Peppermint Patties* are the ultimate no-bake treat. With simple pantry ingredients, this peppermint candy recipe is a refreshing dessert perfect for holidays, gifting, or a sweet indulgence any time. Includes tips for storage, serving, and variations.

Ingredients

2 cups powdered sugar

4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon peppermint extract

1 tablespoon unsalted butter, softened

2 cups semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening

Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, peppermint extract, and softened butter. Mix until a smooth, pliable dough forms.

2. Roll the dough into small balls and flatten into ½-inch thick disks. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.

3. While the patties chill, melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil in a double boiler or in the microwave using 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

4. Use a fork or dipping tool to coat each peppermint disk in the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off before returning to the parchment.

5. Chill the dipped patties in the fridge until the chocolate is set. Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.

Notes

These are perfect to make ahead and freeze.

For festive flair, drizzle white chocolate or top with crushed peppermint candy.

Use dark chocolate for a richer flavor or milk chocolate for a sweeter finish.
