Description

A festive and easy no-bake Christmas dessert, this Holiday Bliss Christmas Peppermint Pie is creamy, cool, and full of peppermint flavor. With a chocolate cookie crust and whipped peppermint filling, it’s the perfect winter treat for parties and family gatherings.


Ingredients

1 chocolate cookie crust

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp peppermint extract

2–3 drops red food coloring

8 oz whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Optional: 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips or white chocolate curls for garnish


Instructions

1. If using a homemade crust, combine crushed chocolate cookies with melted butter and press into a pie dish. Chill while preparing the filling.

2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and peppermint extract. Blend until creamy and smooth.

3. Stir in red food coloring until a soft pink color is reached.

4. Fold in whipped topping gently until well incorporated. Mix in half of the crushed peppermint candies.

5. Pour filling into the chilled crust. Smooth the top and sprinkle with remaining crushed candies.

6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.

7. Before serving, garnish with whipped topping, chocolate chips, or curls if desired. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

This pie can be made a day ahead to save time.

Adjust the peppermint extract to taste for a stronger or milder flavor.

For a brighter color, add an extra drop of food coloring, but start with less and build up.
