Ingredients
1 pound ground sausage
8 ounces cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 cup Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
2. In a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, combine the cream cheese, Velveeta, and cheddar cheese. Heat slowly, stirring until fully melted and smooth.
3. Stir in the sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and optional red pepper flakes. Mix until fully combined.
4. Add the cooked sausage to the cheese mixture and stir until evenly incorporated.
5. Pour the mixture into an oven-safe dish.
6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, until bubbly and slightly golden on top.
7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with chips, veggies, or crackers.
Notes
This dip can be kept warm in a slow cooker for party serving.
For extra heat, use hot sausage and more red pepper flakes.
Refrigerate leftovers and reheat in the microwave or oven.
