Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
4 large potatoes thinly sliced
1 medium onion chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with chopped onions and minced garlic until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth and creamy.
3. Lightly grease a baking dish and layer half of the thinly sliced potatoes on the bottom.
4. Spread half of the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes. Pour half of the creamy sauce over the beef. Sprinkle with shredded cheese.
5. Repeat the layers: potatoes, beef, sauce, and cheese.
6. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 50–60 minutes, until potatoes are fork-tender.
7. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
