Ingredients

12 oz cheese tortellini

1/2 lb ground beef

1/2 lb Italian sausage

3 cups fresh spinach

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tbsp butter

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt to taste

Black pepper to taste


Instructions

1. Brown the ground beef and Italian sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Cook until browned and cooked through, then drain any excess fat.

2. Push the meat to one side of the pan. Add butter and minced garlic to the empty side. Let it sizzle for 30 seconds, then stir it into the meat.

3. Reduce heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine and simmer gently to let the sauce thicken slightly.

4. Add the cheese tortellini and spinach. Stir gently and simmer for 3–5 minutes, until tortellini is tender and spinach is wilted.

5. Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan. Stir until melted and fully incorporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Serve hot and garnish with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

This dish is best served fresh and hot.

Add a splash of milk or cream when reheating to maintain creaminess.

Use spinach and cheese or mushroom tortellini for variation.
