Description

This Garlic Butter Chicken Bites & Cajun Alfredo Mac with Crispy Onion Topping recipe is a creamy, spicy, and buttery comfort food favorite. Featuring juicy garlic butter chicken, rich Cajun Alfredo macaroni, and crispy onion topping, it’s the perfect weeknight dinner for anyone craving flavor-packed Southern-inspired dishes.

Ingredients

1 lb boneless chicken breasts or thighs

3 cloves garlic, minced

4 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

12 oz elbow macaroni

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1/2 cup cream cheese

3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1 cup crispy fried onions

Instructions

1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with paprika, salt, and black pepper.

2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Sear the chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. Add remaining butter to the skillet, then stir in the minced garlic. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Return the chicken to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter.

4. Boil macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

5. In a separate saucepan over medium-low heat, combine heavy cream and cream cheese. Stir until smooth. Add Parmesan and Cajun seasoning. Mix until fully melted and creamy.

6. Stir in the cooked macaroni to the sauce and mix well.

7. Plate the Cajun Alfredo Mac and top with garlic butter chicken bites.

8. Finish with a generous sprinkle of crispy fried onions before serving.

Notes

Serve hot and fresh for the best texture contrast between crispy chicken and creamy pasta.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; reheat with a splash of milk or cream.

Add freshly fried onions when reheating for maximum crunch.
