Ingredients
0.5 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
0.25 cup dry white wine (like Pinot Grigio)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
0.25 teaspoon salt
0.25 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
3. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
5. Remove shrimp and set aside.
6. Pour in white wine and lemon juice, scrape the pan, and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
7. Add remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and stir until melted.
8. Return shrimp to the pan and coat with sauce, cooking for 1 more minute.
9. Sprinkle with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for the most robust flavor.
Don’t overcook the shrimp—they turn rubbery fast.
Pair with pasta, rice, or crusty bread for a complete meal.
