Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
12 oz pasta (penne, rigatoni, or rotini)
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp chopped fresh basil or parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
2. Add minced garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. Cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in heavy cream, parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Add uncooked pasta to the skillet. Stir well to coat. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and sauce is thick and creamy. Add more broth if needed.
5. Once pasta is tender, stir everything together and garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Serve hot.
Notes
This dish thickens as it cools—add a splash of cream or broth when reheating.
Use short pasta shapes that hold sauce well.
Make it spicier by increasing the red pepper flakes to 1/2 tsp.
