Description

This Easy Lasagna Recipe is a comforting classic made with layers of meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella. Perfect for family dinners, this simple lasagna is freezer-friendly, customizable, and always a crowd-pleaser. Ideal for busy weeknights or meal prep.


Ingredients

12 lasagna noodles

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups marinara sauce

15 ounces ricotta cheese

1 large egg

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned.

2. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

3. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, then simmer for 10 minutes.

4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and half the Parmesan cheese.

5. Spread a layer of meat sauce in a 9×13 baking dish.

6. Add a layer of noodles, followed by the ricotta mixture and mozzarella cheese.

7. Repeat the layers, finishing with sauce and topping with mozzarella and Parmesan.

8. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes.

9. Remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.

10. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use oven-ready noodles to save time.

You can substitute ground beef with turkey or sausage.

Make ahead and refrigerate or freeze for future meals.
