Description

This Easy Honey Garlic Chicken Bowl recipe is a quick and flavorful weeknight dinner idea made with juicy chicken, sticky garlic soy honey sauce, and steamed vegetables over rice. Perfect for meal prep, family meals, or healthy takeout-style dinners at home.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken thighs

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp cornstarch

1 tsp sesame oil

2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)

1 1/2 cups steamed broccoli or snap peas

2 green onions, sliced

1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.

2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high. Cook chicken pieces until golden and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.

3. Reduce heat and pour sauce over chicken. Simmer 2-3 minutes until thick and glossy.

4. Add cooked rice to bowls. Top with chicken and vegetables.

5. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve warm.

Notes

Use chicken thighs for best flavor and tenderness.

Double the sauce if you like extra for drizzling over rice.

This dish is great for meal prep and reheats well.
