This easy ground beef and cabbage skillet dinner is the perfect one-pan low carb meal for busy nights. It’s quick, hearty, and made with simple ingredients like green cabbage, ground beef, onions, and garlic. Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound ground beef

1 medium yellow onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 small head green cabbage, shredded

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

1 tablespoon soy sauce (or coconut aminos)


Instructions

1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess grease if needed.

2. In the same skillet, heat olive oil and sauté chopped onion until translucent.

3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Add shredded cabbage to the skillet. Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring often, until cabbage softens.

5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and soy sauce. Stir well to combine.

6. Let it cook for another 2–3 minutes until fully heated and flavors meld together.

7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

This dish is easy to customize—add hot sauce or red pepper flakes for heat.

You can substitute ground turkey or chicken if you prefer a lighter protein.
