Description

This Decadent Chocolate M&M’s and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Cake is the ultimate frozen treat for birthdays, summer parties, and celebrations. Featuring layers of chocolate cake, creamy vanilla ice cream, edible cookie dough, mini M&M’s, and chocolate chips, this no-fuss dessert combines all your favorite sweets into one indulgent ice cream cake. Perfect for make-ahead and loved by both kids and adults!


Ingredients

1 box chocolate cake mix

1.5 quarts vanilla ice cream

1 cup mini M&M’s

1 cup edible cookie dough

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

1 cup whipped cream (optional)


Instructions

1. Prepare the chocolate cake according to package instructions and bake in a round cake pan. Let it cool completely.

2. Allow the vanilla ice cream to soften at room temperature for about 10–15 minutes until scoopable but not melted.

3. Place the cooled cake in a springform pan. Spread a thick layer of softened ice cream evenly on top.

4. Sprinkle the layer with mini chocolate chips.

5. Break up edible cookie dough and scatter across the ice cream layer.

6. Press mini M&M’s gently into the surface to add color and crunch.

7. Freeze the entire cake for at least 4 hours or overnight until solid.

8. Remove from the pan, top with extra cookie dough and whipped cream if desired, then slice and serve.

Notes

This cake can be made 2–3 days in advance.

Use a warm knife to slice clean layers.

Swap vanilla ice cream for chocolate or cookie dough for variety.
