Description

This crispy and satisfying cheeseburger quesadillas recipe combines juicy ground beef, melted cheddar, and golden tortillas for a fast, comforting skillet meal. Perfect for weeknight dinners or casual lunches, it’s an easy twist on two classic favorites: quesadillas and cheeseburgers. Includes options for extra toppings, sauce, and storage tips.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small yellow onion, diced

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

4 large flour tortillas

2 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp yellow mustard

1/4 cup sliced pickles (optional)

1 tbsp cooking oil or butter for pan

Instructions

1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.

2. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

3. Lay out flour tortillas. Spread ketchup and mustard on one side of each tortilla.

4. Spoon the beef mixture over half of each tortilla. Add pickles if using. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

5. Fold the tortillas in half or top with another tortilla.

6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly coat with oil or butter.

7. Cook quesadillas 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy, and cheese is fully melted.

8. Remove from heat, cool slightly, and slice into wedges. Serve hot with extra dipping sauces if desired.

Notes

Quesadillas are best served fresh for maximum crispiness.

Use a sharp cheddar for extra flavor depth.

Air fryer can be used for reheating leftovers to maintain crisp texture.
