Description

Ingredients

1 cup long-grain white rice

2 tablespoons butter

3 cloves fresh garlic, minced

2 cups chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

to taste salt

to taste black pepper


Instructions

1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

2. Stir in the uncooked rice and toast for about 1 minute in the garlic butter.

3. Pour in the chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.

4. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer uncovered for 3-5 minutes, stirring until creamy.

5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and meltability.

If the rice thickens too much when reheating, stir in a splash of broth or cream.
