Description
Creamy Mozzarella Chicken Linguine in Garlic Cajun Butter is a comforting pasta dish packed with juicy chicken, gooey mozzarella, and a bold, buttery Cajun garlic cream sauce. A perfect weeknight meal for pasta lovers, ready in under an hour!
Ingredients
400g linguine
2 chicken breasts, sliced thinly
1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook linguine until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
2. Slice chicken breasts into strips and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken for 5–7 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
5. Stir in the heavy cream and mix until smooth.
6. Gradually add shredded mozzarella, stirring until fully melted into the sauce.
7. Return the chicken to the pan and stir to coat in the cheesy sauce.
8. Add cooked linguine and toss everything together. Use reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use fresh mozzarella for creaminess or low-moisture mozzarella for more stretch.
Reserve pasta water—it’s key to adjusting the sauce texture.
Let chicken rest a couple minutes before slicing for juicier bites.
