Description

This Creamy Million Dollar Chicken Noodle Casserole is a comforting, cheesy dinner made with tender chicken, egg noodles, and a rich sauce of cream cheese, sour cream, and cheddar. Topped with buttery Ritz crackers, this easy chicken casserole is perfect for family meals, potlucks, or make-ahead freezer meals.


Ingredients

12 ounces egg noodles

3 cups cooked chicken, shredded

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed

4 tablespoons butter, melted

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. Boil the egg noodles in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.

3. Fold in the shredded chicken, cooked noodles, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir gently to coat everything evenly.

4. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and smooth the top.

5. In a small bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.

6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the edges are bubbling.

7. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Notes

This casserole can be made a day ahead and baked when ready.

You can swap in rotisserie chicken or turkey for convenience.

Add steamed broccoli or peas for a veggie boost.
