A cozy and rich Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken and Cheesy Twisted Pasta recipe made with tender chicken breasts, garlic, heavy cream, and two cheeses. This creamy chicken pasta is a perfect weeknight comfort meal and an irresistible Italian-inspired dinner idea.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken breasts
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
2 oz cream cheese
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika
1 tsp Italian seasoning
12 oz rotini or fusilli pasta
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add butter if needed and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
4. Lower heat and add heavy cream, stirring to deglaze the pan.
5. Add cream cheese and parmesan. Stir until smooth and sauce begins to thicken.
6. Boil rotini or fusilli in salted water until al dente. Drain.
7. Slice chicken and return to skillet. Add pasta and stir in mozzarella until melted.
8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Add a splash of milk or cream when reheating to restore creaminess.
Do not freeze the leftovers, as cream-based sauces may separate.
Great with broccoli, Caesar salad, or garlic bread.
