Ingredients
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup white wine
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp chopped parsley
8 oz linguine or pasta of choice (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels to ensure they sear well.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
3. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
4. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
5. Pour white wine into the skillet to deglaze, scraping up bits from the pan.
6. Let the wine simmer for 1-2 minutes, then stir in the remaining butter, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and salt.
7. Return shrimp to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and cook for 1 more minute.
8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve over pasta or with bread.
Notes
Keep the shrimp moving while cooking to avoid overcooking.
Use fresh lemon juice for the best brightness in the sauce.
Serve immediately for the juiciest shrimp and boldest flavor.
