Description
A rich and easy Creamy Garlic Butter Shrimp Bowl with Herb Rice that’s perfect for dinner. This shrimp and rice bowl combines garlic butter sauce, fresh herbs, and juicy shrimp in under 30 minutes. A perfect quick seafood dinner idea for families.
Ingredients
12 oz shrimp
3 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
3 cups cooked rice
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tbsp chopped fresh dill or basil
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
3. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
4. Stir in grated Parmesan and lemon juice. Cook for another 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Simmer 1–2 minutes to warm through.
6. Stir parsley and dill or basil into freshly cooked rice. Add a pinch of salt if needed.
7. Spoon herb rice into bowls. Top with shrimp and spoon extra sauce over the top before serving.
Notes
This dish is best served immediately while the sauce is creamy and fresh.
You can substitute scallops or even chicken for shrimp if preferred.
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
