Description

This creamy garlic butter beef tortellini with Italian sausage and spinach is a rich and hearty pasta dinner that’s ready in under 30 minutes. Made with cheese tortellini, savory sausage, and a silky garlic cream sauce, it’s a comfort food favorite perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family meals. Keywords: creamy tortellini recipe, beef tortellini, sausage spinach tortellini, quick pasta dinner, garlic butter pasta.

Ingredients

9 oz cheese tortellini

1/2 lb ground beef

1/2 lb Italian sausage

2 cups fresh spinach

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat and set aside.

2. In the same skillet, melt unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir frequently.

4. Add grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.

5. Toss in fresh spinach and cook until wilted. Season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.

6. Meanwhile, cook the tortellini according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.

7. Return cooked meat to the skillet and stir to combine. Add tortellini and gently toss to coat in the sauce.

8. Simmer for a few minutes to let flavors meld.

9. Serve hot, with extra Parmesan on top if desired.

Notes

This dish is best served immediately while the sauce is fresh and creamy.

If the sauce thickens after storing, add a splash of cream or milk when reheating.

You can swap spinach for kale or use turkey sausage for a leaner version.
