Packed with ground beef, Italian sausage, fresh spinach, and a velvety garlic cream sauce, this hearty dish is perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep. It’s rich, easy, and incredibly satisfying.
Ingredients
450g bowtie pasta (farfalle)
225g ground beef
225g Italian sausage
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
4 cups fresh spinach
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and Italian sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.
3. Reduce heat and add butter and garlic to the skillet. Cook until garlic is fragrant and golden, about 1 minute.
4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Let reduce for 2–3 minutes, then stir in Parmesan until smooth.
5. Fold in spinach and cook until wilted. Add a splash of pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and stir until fully coated. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste. Serve hot.
Notes
This recipe reheats beautifully; just add a splash of milk or cream when reheating.
You can substitute turkey sausage for a lighter version.
For extra richness, add a spoonful of cream cheese to the sauce.
