Description

This creamy eggnog panna cotta recipe is the ultimate holiday dessert. Silky smooth, warmly spiced, and easy to make ahead, it’s a festive no-bake treat with eggnog, cream, vanilla, and nutmeg. Perfect for Christmas gatherings or cozy winter nights.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups eggnog

1 cup heavy cream

2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin

3 tablespoons cold water

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon rum extract or 1 tablespoon dark rum

Instructions

1. Sprinkle gelatin over cold water in a small bowl. Let sit for 5–10 minutes to bloom.

2. In a saucepan, heat heavy cream, eggnog, and sugar over medium heat until steaming (not boiling).

3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, nutmeg, and rum extract. Add the bloomed gelatin and whisk until fully dissolved.

4. Pour mixture into ramekins or glasses. Let cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

5. Serve chilled. Garnish with whipped cream, nutmeg, or crushed cookies if desired.

Notes

Use store-bought or homemade eggnog.

For extra richness, substitute half-and-half for part of the cream.

Make up to 2 days in advance for best results.
