Ingredients
1 lb chicken breasts
1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 cup chicken broth
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
3. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
4. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden, then remove from skillet.
5. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
6. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir to deglaze the pan.
7. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
8. Let the sauce simmer to thicken slightly, about 2 minutes.
9. Add trimmed asparagus to the skillet.
10. Return chicken to the pan and spoon sauce over the top.
11. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
12. Serve hot with a generous spoonful of sauce.
Notes
Use chicken thighs if you prefer a juicier texture.
Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
