Description
Cowboy Cream Cheese is an easy no-cook appetizer made with cream cheese, pepper jelly, crispy bacon, and jalapeños. This crowd-pleasing party dip is creamy, savory, and spicy with bold Southwestern flavors. Perfect for game day, potlucks, or BBQs.
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup pepper jelly
4 slices crispy bacon, crumbled
2 green onions, sliced
1/4 cup pickled jalapeños, sliced
1 box crackers or 1 baguette, sliced and toasted
Instructions
1. Unwrap and place the cream cheese on a serving plate. Let it soften at room temperature for 10–15 minutes.
2. Spoon the pepper jelly over the cream cheese, allowing it to drizzle slightly down the sides.
3. Sprinkle crispy bacon, green onions, and jalapeños evenly over the top.
4. Serve immediately with crackers or baguette slices, or chill for up to an hour before serving.
5. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
6. Bring to room temperature before serving again so the cheese softens nicely.
Notes
Make this ahead by prepping toppings and assembling just before serving.
Use whipped cream cheese for a lighter texture and easier spreading.
To reduce heat, swap pickled jalapeños with sweet bell pepper strips.
