Description

This comforting ground beef goulash is a hearty one-pot dinner recipe featuring elbow macaroni, seasoned beef, and rich tomato sauce. A nostalgic and easy ground beef dinner perfect for busy weeknights, meal prep, or feeding the whole family.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

2 cups elbow macaroni

1 medium yellow onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

2 cups beef broth

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon paprika

1 bay leaf

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat and sauté chopped onion until soft. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

2. Add ground beef, break it up with a spoon, and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.

3. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, pepper, and bay leaf. Simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Pour in beef broth and elbow macaroni. Stir, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 12–15 minutes until pasta is tender.

5. Remove the bay leaf. Let the goulash rest for a few minutes before serving to thicken slightly.
